Recently while checking out Pinterest and also in a magazine I saw images of a product called chalk paint. Then last week a good friend of mine asked if we sold it at the store where I work. Unfortunately we don't but I thought I would do a quick post about it to share it with you. The name that kept popping up for this product was " Annie Sloan" who is world renowned decorative paint artist. Over the years I have watched this type of painting come and go in various ways. Some I wouldn't want to see back, some I have done and would never do again!! Using a plastic bag to create a ragging effect for one! However if you are a fan of shabby chic, distressed vintage or an eclectic decor then maybe even one piece of chalk painted furniture could be for you. Simple blue stripe adds a personal touch to this old dresser. What baby wouldn't love this great yellow dresser turned into a change table - maybe even the new Royal baby!loving this vintage sideboard made over with turquoise chalk paintPretty bedroom with a shot of black chalk paint to combine with the bright pink and orangePick up some garage sale or auction chairs and add pretty pastel chalk paint. You can even use paint on fabric like these lovely yellow stripes. Finally my absolute favourite , a cool Union Jack rolling chair. it would look great in my home office!
